The 2nd/3rd month....

Well, the little Prince went for his 2 month check-up/shots on Sept. 14 and here were his stats:

height- 23.5 inches (up 4 inches from birth!)-- 50th percentile

weight- 11 lb. 2 oz. -- 30th percentile

head circumference- 15.5 inches (up from 13.25 at birth)-- 25th percentile

Kale handled his shots very well and only cried for a minute. It still broke my heart to watch him get pricked with a needle and see tears well up in his eyes, but the pain didn't last long for him.

Some highlights from month 2...

~He started sleeping through the night at 8 weeks (hallelujah!)

~We made our first trip to Illinois at 5 weeks to meet the Rodman side of the family. He enjoyed the first of many trips to mama's hometown and loved meeting all his relatives.

~Kale got his first cousin!!! Brooklee Weslyn Taylor was born on September 13. She weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. She's a beautiful girl and Kale will have to be a "big brother" to her as they grow up together.

~He started smiling around 6 weeks old, but does it a whole lot more now at 10 weeks.

~He "talks" or coos. This is my FAVORITE development so far.
